Updates on Entry Requirements to Turkey with Regards to COVID-19 Measures
The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Kigali kindly announces the following updates
on measures against Covid-19 pandemic for travellers entering into Turkey at all (air, land and sea) borders as of 1 June 2021:
1) Passengers arriving from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and those who have been in these countries within the last 14 days must submit a negative PCR test result taken at most 72 hours before their arrival. These passengers are subject to quarantine for 14 days at places determined by the Governorships. At the end of 14th day of their quarantine, if their test result is negative, quarantine will be lifted. If their PCR test result comes positive, they will be isolated as of the date of their positive test. At the end of the 14th day, they will be required to take another PCR test, and in case this second test result is negative, the isolation will be terminated.
2) Passengers arriving from the United Kingdom, Iran, Egypt and Singapore will be requested to submit a PCR test report with a negative result obtained within the last 72 hours prior to arrival to Turkey.
3) For passengers entering into Turkeyarriving from the countries other than those listed above,
-those who submit a document issued by their country's relevant official authorities confirming that they have been vaccinated in at least 14 days prior to their arrival to Turkey and/or they have had recovered from the disease within the last 6 months before their entry, will not be required to present a negative PCR test report and will not be subject to quarantine.
- those who are unable to submit a certificate of vaccination and/or a document confirming that they had recovered from the disease within the last 6 months before their entry issued by their relevant official authorities, a PCR test report with a negative result obtained within the last 72 hours or a rapid antigen test report with a negative result taken within the last 48 hours prior to the entry will be sufficient.
- The Ministry of Health could perform PCR tests to these passengers on the basis of sampling at their point of entry. Passengers will be allowed to go to their final destination after the test samples are taken. If their test results are positive, they will be treated in line with the Covid-19 Guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Passengers with a positive test result and their close contacts will be quarantined for 14 days at the addresses of their choice. Their quarantine will be terminated if the PCR test to be performed at the end of the 10th day comes negative. The quarantine conditions of those who are found to be carrying the Indian mutant of the virus will be terminated if the PCR test is negative at the end of the 14th day of the quarantine.
4) These requirements are not applicable to transit/transfer passengers and the crew members.
